Grow on under glass until all risk of frost has passed and they can be planted outside in a well-prepared bed or patio pot. Use a freely-draining compost mix, or add additional grit, sharp sand, or perlite, as Arctotis prefer an open growing medium.
Pinching out the growing tips will encourage them to become bushier, and feed with a high-potash fertiliser at regular intervals throughout the summer.
