This captivating collection of Royal Horticultural Society award-winning conifers is a testament to horticultural excellence. Each plant offers unique beauty and resilience, contrast and colour, perfect for enhancing your outdoor space. From the golden hues of Thuja occidentalis 'Rheingold' to the striking blue-green of Juniperus squamata 'Blue Star', these conifers provide year-round interest. Whether you're seeking low-maintenance, evergreen centrepieces or a dynamic focal point, this collection has a lot to offer.

This awarding winning conifer collection contains one each of the following cultivars, each supplied in a 1 litre nursery pot:

  • Thuja occidentalis 'Rheingold': Slowly forming a dense cone-shaped mound of golden foliage, which emerges with a pink flush in spring, this attractive evergreen provides year-round interest. Use it as a stand alone specimen in the garden, or incorporate it into the borders where it will act as an attractive backdrop, while adding structural interest. Grows to 1.5m.

  • Juniperus squamata 'Blue Star': The dense, spreading branches of this attractive evergreen are clothed in silvery-blue leaves and glossy black cones. Forming a low, splaying clump, this compact evergreen shrub makes attractive ground cover at the front of the border or larger rockery. Tough and easy to grow, it will tolerate a wide range of conditions, including (once established) dry chalky or sandy soils. Grows to 40cm.

  • Cupressus macrocarpa 'Wilma': Luminous golden green foliage, which has a fresh citrus scent when bruised, forms in a soft cone shape. A slow-growing conifer, it is excellent for pots, and will also make a handsome stand-alone specimen. Grows to 1.8m.

  • Juniperus horizontalis 'Limeglow': A low-growing, evergreen conifer, Juniperus horizontalis 'Limeglow' forms a dense, spreading mat up to 1m (3ft) wide. Its vibrant, lime-green foliage provides a striking contrast in the garden, turning golden-orange in autumn and bronze in winter. Grows to 50cm.

  • Garden care:
When planting these conifers, choose a well-drained location that receives ample sunlight. Prepare the soil by incorporating organic matter to improve drainage and fertility.

Plant the conifers at the same depth they were in their original containers, ensuring the root ball is fully covered with soil. Water the newly planted conifers thoroughly, and continue to water regularly, especially during dry periods.

Regular pruning is not typically required, but you can shape the plants as desired. Avoid heavy pruning, as this can damage the plants. To maintain a tidy appearance, remove any dead or damaged branches.
