An enchanting tulip blend of pink and plum hues, boasting delicate sugar pink petals, hints of lustrous blue flushes, and sumptuous shades of violet purple, perfect for creating dreamy spring landscapes.
In this combination you will receive the following:
- 5 × Tulipa 'Light and Dreamy': Exquisitely shaped flowers with sugar pink petals that have a lustrous blue flush on the outer edges. The colouring is quite distinctive, and it makes these Darwin hybrid tulips (which are excellent for cutting), very easy to blend with blue and pink shades. Grows to 60cm.
- 7 × Tulipa 'Pink Impression': An easy to mix pink, that will add height and colour to the spring bedding display. The flowers are well-shaped and are also very good for cutting and adding to a vase. They have an unusual hint of bronze in the petals, which becomes less noticeable as the flowers age. 'Pink Impression' is a charming Darwin hybrid variety that is well placed to withstand the vagaries of wind and rain, ideal for more exposed gardens. Grows to 55cm.
- 7 × Tulipa 'Showcase': The flowers of this double early tulip are a sumptuous shade of violet purple, so they team easily with most pinks and blues, as well as rich plum and other hues of purple. Being quite big and blousy, they put on a great display and can be used in borders or pots. Grows to 40cm.
From August to November plant the bulbs 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. While actively growing, keep them moderately well watered and remove the flowers after they have faded. At that stage a balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied each week for 4 weeks before they die down.
