Delphinium Delgenius Chantay unfurls magnificent flower spires that tower above a frothy mound of feathery green foliage, creating a dramatic contrast to other mound-forming perennials.

Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, this larkspur delivers exceptional garden drama with minimal maintenance. Its well-branched, sturdy stems support large, double, pink blooms that rise above the border, attracting a range of pollinators like bees and butterflies.

Perfect for cottage gardens, mixed borders, and cutting gardens, this delphinium transforms summer plantings with its elegant, vertical architecture. Provide sturdy support and deadhead regularly to encourage prolonged flowering, watching as these exquisite blooms create a mesmerising focal point of soft pink.

  • Garden care:
For best results, plant in an open spot with fertile, freely-draining soil and protect the young foliage against slug and snail damage.

During the growing season, apply a seaweed or balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-3 weeks. While wearing gloves, stake the emerging flower spike with a stout bamboo cane and tie it in as it grows.

Cutting back the faded flower stems to a flowering side shoot will help encourage a second flush of flowers.
    • Humans/Pets: Harmful if eaten
