This varied mix of irises will add lashings of spring colour to your border and look fantastic in the vase too. All have been selected and bred by our Dutch iris grower to ensure a good performance and strong colour. Don't forget to buy more than you need for the garden so you have plenty for cutting in spring.
Plant Iris hollandica bulbs around 10cm (4in) deep and 10cm (4in) apart in September or October, choosing a sunny, well-drained spot where they won’t sit in frequent wet soil conditions.
Set them out in loose, naturalistic drifts rather than straight lines for a softer look, and once planted, leave them undisturbed so they can settle and bulk up; they prefer relatively dry conditions over winter and benefit from a light mulch only if your soil is very free-draining.
