Large, radiant, semi-double blooms of dark, warm orange make Gerbera ‘Sweet Glow’ a long season contender for pots and the cut flower garden. One of the hardiest gerberas, it has the potential to provide dazzling blooms over three seasons but we’d recommend a winter retreat to a cool glasshouse if excessive cold is forecast.
Gerbera prefer well-drained soil and can suffer during very wet winters. To protect plants that are susceptible to rot in wet winter conditions, ensure they are planted in well-draining soil and consider adding grit or sand to the surrounding planting area to improve drainage.
