Dark claret flowers are produced throughout summer and into autumn above feathery, green foliage. A vigorous, ground-hugging perennial for a sunny spot, which looks lovely in a 'hot' border.
'Claret' associates really well with yellow and orange flowering plants, such as Crocosmia 'George Davison' and Dahlia 'Arabian Night'. It also looks lovely planted in pots on a sunny patio.

Glandularia (verbena group) prefers a sunny, well-drained spot and thrives in light, fertile soil. Plant after the last frost, spacing about 25-30cm (10-12in) apart, and water in well. Keep soil moderately moist until established, then water only during dry spells.
Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering, and pinch back stems to maintain a bushy habit. In colder regions, treat as an annual or grow in containers.
