Ruffled and lobed, lime green foliage forms a neat, semi-evergreen mound, which is topped from late spring to midsummer with open panicles of small, creamy white flowers. The flowers of Heuchera 'Lime Marmalade' can last several weeks in a vase after being cut.
Plant 30-45cm (12-18in) apart in moderately fertile, moist, but well-drained soil, incorporating compost to improve drainage and fertility. Keep well watered and remove tatty foliage in autumn.
Lift and divide clumps every couple of years in early autumn and re-plant with the crown just above the surface of the soil. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted organic matter around the base of the plant in spring.
