If you like mint chocolate, then this might become your go-to herb for adding a twist to all your favourite chocolate puddings. Its rich green leaves have a wonderful aroma (and flavour), and are topped in summer with pretty white flowers.
Garden care: When plants have finished flowering in summer, cut flowered shoots back to 5cm (2in) above the surface of the compost. Mint can be vigorous in the garden so unless you want a large clump, you can contain it by planting it in a large pot. Do keep well watered though.
