A wonderfully compact mulberry perfect for a pot on the patio. A former RHS Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the Year, dwarf mulberry ‘Mojo Berry‘ fruits on both new and old wood, meaning that it's possible to be harvesting these tasty treats over several months (often from May to September).
Another noteworthy feature is that this remarkable fruit tree will usually start to produce at a very young age - even within their first year, and without the need for a pollination partner.
If you choose the top worked option, the crown of this small tree has been grafted onto the upright stem of the rootstock at a height of 70cm, which will limit the eventual height. Perfect for a small garden or growing in a large pot with a loam-based (John Innes) compost.

When planting your mulberry, prepare a hole up to three times the diameter of its root system. Fork over the base of the pit in readiness, incorporating plenty of organic matter into the backfill and planting hole.
Avoiding frozen and waterlogged soil, trees should be planted out as they arrive. Plant in full sun out of cold, drying winds. Little pruning is needed apart from removing low, dead, diseased or crossing branches. This must be tackled after leaf-fall, but before midwinter, to prevent the stems 'bleeding'.
