It is possible to have flowering daffodils over a 5 or 6 month period (based on normal flowering times) with this special selection. Much-loved for their cheerful flowers, which are good for cutting, daffodils can be planted in clumps or drifts throughout the border as well as naturalised into grass. Lower growing types are also excellent for pots or windowboxes.

In each collection you will receive the following:

  • 10 × Narcissus 'Rijnveld's Early Sensation': First making an appearance as early as late December, the lemon yellow and rich gold flowers stand up well to inclement weather and add welcome colour to the winter garden. Grows to 55cm.

  • 10 × Narcissus 'Spring Dawn': Pointed creamy white petals surround a large, ruffled, primrose yellow cup, creating graceful blooms that top the relatively short stems in January. Grows to 25cm.

  • 10 × Narcissus 'Ice Follies': Opening in February and March, each large (up to 9.5cm across) flower is made up of a creamy white ruff surrounding a frilly edged, yellow cup, which fades to cream as it ages. Grows to 40cm.

  • 10 × Narcissus 'Tête-à-tête': One of the most popular miniature daffodils, from late February it will produce between one and three, slightly nodding, golden yellow flowers per stem. Perfect for pots. Grows to 22cm.

  • 10 × Narcissus 'Carlton': This classic, large-cupped daffodil is widely grown as a cut flower as the blooms are noted for their longevity. It also puts on a very impressive display in the garden in March and April. Grows to 45cm.

  • 10 × Narcissus 'Sun Disc': Slender foliage and round, flat-faced flowers, which appear in mid-April, give this jonquil a dainty appearance. A fast grower, it will quickly form a good-sized clump. Grows to 55cm.

  • 10 × Narcissus poeticus var. recurvus: An elegant, shade-tolerant May-bloomer with creamy white petals that have a slightly windswept look, surrounding a tiny red-rimmed yellow cup. The flowers smell divine. Grows to 55cm.

  • Garden care: Plant 10-15cm (4-6in) deep from late summer to early autumn. After flowering feed with a balanced fertiliser, deadhead and allow the leaves to die back naturally before removing them.
    • Humans/Pets: Harmful if eaten; skin irritant
