With glossy green leaves and compact growth, this carnivorous beauty produces bell-shaped traps flushed in pale to deep red, often striped and freckled for extra impact. Sweet nectar draws insects inside, while the waxy inner walls make escape near impossible. Perfect for a bright bathroom, kitchen or terrarium, Nepenthes ‘Rob’ thrives in strong indirect light, steady warmth between 10-30°C (50-86°F) and high humidity of around 80% to develop full-sized pitchers.
Water from the top two or three times a week using rainwater or distilled water, keep the air moist with regular misting or a humidifier, and offer the occasional insect to keep those impressive red cups coming.

Nepenthes thrive in warm, humid, and partly shady environments, daytime temperatures should be maintained around 18-27°C (65-80°F), with a minimum of 7°C (45°F) at night, making them ideal for year-round indoor cultivation. They prefer being watered with rainwater, and many species benefit from sitting in a saucer filled with 2.5-5cm (1-2in) of water during the growing season. In winter, it's best to keep the compost damp rather than wet. Never add water into the pitchers as this can cause them to shrivel and die. Pot on in spring using a specialist carnivorous compost.
Please note: all our indoor hanging pots include drainage holes to prevent waterlogging. We recommend taking them down to water in the sink or on a saucer, and leaving them to drain before rehanging.
