  • Rate of growth: fast-growing
  • Flowering period: March to April
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

Spreading to form a clump of attractive evergreen foliage, this low-growing perennial is best loved for its loose clusters of larger than average (for an Omphalodes), deep blue flowers, which appear in early spring. 'Cherry Ingram' makes a stunning addition to the woodland floor or shady rockery, where it associates well with spring flowering bulbs, ferns and hostas.

  • Garden care: Incorporate lots of well-rotted leafmould, composted pine needles or garden compost when planting. Lift and divide congested colonies in spring.
