This is an improved Japanese variety that is ideal for planting early, and can provide a crop ready to harvest in May to June. The onions are a nice globe shape and have a mild flavour. The young ones can also be used as spring onions in salads.
Garden care: Plant this onion from October to January, 3cm deep and 12cm apart. Lift the onions when they aremature (normally in August) and allow them to dry before using.
