Keep in a warm but well-lit spot, watering when the top few inches of compost feels dry. After flowering, consider relocating the plants 'in the green' to an outdoor border or pot to flower again the following year.

Feed with a balanced fertiliser, deadhead the spent flowers or seedheads, but do not be tempted to cut back or tidy the foliage after flowering as this will interfere with the bulbs’ ability to store energy for the following year's flowers. If planted outside, the colder temperatures will return the bulb to dormancy until natural flowering early in the new year.
