Easy to grow and making a big impact when in bloom, this collection of annual wildflowers will also help create a haven for wildlife - and is particularly attractive to butterflies.
One packet containing 2 grams of seeds will cover approximately 2 sq m.
The collection contains:
corncockle - Agrostemma githago
cornflower - Centaurea cyanus
field poppy - Papaver rhoeas
- Garden care: Rake the soil well to form a fine tilth and then sow seeds, scattering them evenly before raking them in and firming down. Wildflowers prefer poor soils so avoid using fertilisers. Keep them well watered initially and remove any weeds if they appear. After they have finished flowering, do not cut the old plants back until they have scattered scattered their seed as this may result in another crop of flowers in the following year.
- Sow: March - May or September - October
- Flowering: August - September or May - July
