A versatile and very popular Mediterranean herb, ‘Blue Lagoon’ is a spreading, arching and weeping rosemary. Perfect for cascading over the edge of a large patio pot or for creating a relaxed, languid form within the border. In late spring, a profusion of dark blue flowers clothe its wiry stems, and the aromatic leaves wonderfully enhance savoury dishes. Grow in a sunny, sheltered position in well-drained soil, and try pairing it with the silvery leaves of Santolina and Eryngium.

  • Garden care:
Ensure good drainage in the pot or soil area when planting by incorporating grit and working the ground on particularly heavy soils. Relatively maintenance free, to ensure a plentiful supply of young, succulent leaves for culinary use, gather the leaves regularly and prune each spring after flowering when the risk of frost has passed. Avoid hard pruning into old wood.
