Ideal for guerrilla gardening, these seedballs contain a vibrant mix of native wildflowers that are hardy enough to thrive in polluted urban areas. Scatter liberally to breathe colour and life into any area of bare soil and encourage bees and butterflies to visit.

Each ball contains a varied blend of seeds including cornflowers, musk mallows, cowslips and more. The seeds are mixed with peat-free compost and a pinch of chilli powder to deter pests, while the dried clay casing offers extra protection from birds, ants and mice.

No planting required, simply scatter on the surface of soil or compost in spring or autumn, water well and nature will do the rest.

Use around 20 balls per square metre for large areas or 3-5 in a medium sized pot. Sprouts should be seen from 2-6 weeks although regular watering may speed up the process.

Each individual seedball contains approximately 100 seeds.
A beautiful mix of native wildflowers that is perfect for pollinators. Garden Meadow is a colourful combination of hardy annuals and perennials that will do well in most gardens, including those in more polluted areas (this mix would also be ideal for road verges). Each seed ball contains approximately 30 seeds from a mix of common toadflax, cornflower, cowslip, meadow cranesbill, musk mallow, oxeye daisy and red campion, plus a sprinkling of pollinator-friendly annuals chamomile, cornflower, corn marigold, and night-flowering catchfly.

Each bag contains 100 seed balls, enough to cover 5 square metres in a garden bed or 15-25 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball). Scatter at any time from early Spring until late Autumn.

What is a Seedball? A ball made from seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder.

Why use Seedballs? The ball prevents the seeds from being a tasty lunch for birds and insects, thereby increasing the chances of your flowers growing. Plus they’re super easy to use, no digging and no expert knowledge needed!

How do I use Seedballs? Throw onto soil or compost in a garden bed or planter in Spring or Autumn, leaving at least 10cm between each ball. Your Seedball has everything it needs to grow and, once the ball becomes moist and the temperature is right, your seeds will germinate!

What area will my Seedballs cover? We would usually advise 20 seed balls per square metre, or 3-5 seed balls for a 35cm container.

All seed is responsibly sourced in the UK from Flora Locale accredited suppliers.
