A reliable, heirloom variety from 1902 with deliciously sweet cobs and a strong corn-like taste. ‘Golden Bantum’ is suitable for early planting, thriving in cooler conditions and soils, and bears 2 cobs per plant. - Growing instructions: Sow seeds undercover from early spring in pots or modules at 70°F (21°C) until germination occurs approx 2-3 weeks later. Plant out from late May following a period of hardening off. Alternatively, sow direct from late spring in a grid pattern to ensure pollination. Cobs are ready to harvest when the tassels have turned brown.
- Sow: March to May
- Harvest: August to September
