Grey-green, cream-edged leaves turn vividly burgundy in autumn, in winter the cream margins turn magenta pink. Short, lilac-blue flowers, fading to white appear in early to mid-summer. This hebe makes an attractive low, informal hedge and is a useful plant for urban or coastal gardens, it needs protection from cold, drying winds. - Garden care: When planting ‘Silver Dollar’ incorporate some well-rotted compost and mycorrhizal fungi into the planting hole. Requires minimal pruning, remove misplaced or frost-damaged branches in late spring.
