One collection comprises ten large plugs, with five of each of the following:
Verbena 'Enchantment White': A delightful early to flower verbena from the superb enchantment series that produces a profusion of tiny white blooms all summer long. These fabulous plants will gently tumble from hanging baskets and containers. Supplied as rooted cuttings. Grows to 30cm.
Cosmos 'Sonata White': Delightful and elegant pure white flowers with a golden central boss of stamens rise above delicate filigree-like foliage. This robust, compact form is more resilient to the fluctuations and vagaries of our summers. Free-flowering, it produces an abundance of strong-stemmed blooms and is perfect for cutting and interior display. Supplied as jumbo seedlings. Grows to 50cm.
Pot up and grow on under glass until all risk of frost has passed and they can then either be planted outside into a well-prepared bed, or used to fill decorative pots and hanging baskets for the patio.
Pinching out the growing tips will encourage them to become bushier, and feeding with a high-potash fertiliser at regular intervals throughout the summer will promote even more flowers to form.
