Ideal for filling raised beds or mixing into your soil, this veg growing compost encourages bumper crops of produce all year round. The mix is a blend of sand, silt, clay and organic matter, creating an open and free-draining soil rich in essential nutrients. Great for all vegetable growing, especially green leafy and root crops, tomatoes, chillies and herbs.

How to use:

Mixing into existing soil:

Spread a three-inch layer of compost over the existing soil in your vegetable bed/border. Fork it into the top six to eight inches of soil and level off.

Creating a new raised bed:

Start with a two to three inch layer of wood or bark chips for drainage, followed by a two to three inch layer of farmyard manure. Finally fill the bed up with raised bed and vegetable compost and level off, ready for planting.

Store in a cool, dry place away from weed killers and other garden chemicals, and reseal bag after use. Always wear gloves when handling and wash hands afterwards.
