Exceptionally large leaves and unique patterns on well-branched plants, Coleus ‘Kong Scarlet’ is a foliage plant that works well outdoors in shade or indirectly lit spots in the home. Velvety, central burgundy markings are margined and speckled by vivid lime-green and are ideal for brightening up a room or as mass, ground-covering plantings in a summer display.
Plant out after all risk of frost has passed. Pinch out young shoots regularly to maintain foliage colour and a compact shape. Remove emerging flower spikes to maintain bushy habit. If growing in pots, move indoors in autumn to overwinter.
