A compact, clump-forming and architectural perennial forming stiff spikes of tubular deep-orange red flowers that fade to tangerine as they age. Rising above arching, linear, dark-green leaves and lasting well into autumn, the ‘red hot pokers’ of ‘Poco Sunset’ look especially good in tropical-themed gardens, adjacent to water, and in naturalistic plantings alongside Achillea, Rudbeckia, and Helenium. - Garden care: In autumn remove and compost the faded flower spikes and apply a deep, dry mulch around the crown of the plant. Divide and replant overcrowded colonies in spring.
