Masses of funnel-shaped, dark-pink flowers in May and small, oval to broadly lance-shaped, that open bright green and mature to dark green. This compact, bushy azalea is ideal for brightening the front of a shrub border with humus-rich, acid soil. Best in part shade, it copes well in sun as long as the soil is not allowed to dry out. A colourful choice for city gardens and contemporary gardens containers. - Garden care: Avoid planting too deeply. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of leaf mould around the base of the plant each spring. Do not allow to dry out. Protect from strong winter winds.
- Humans/Pets: Harmful if eaten
