An excellent choice for adding colour and scent to summer displays, this compact, ornamental tobacco plant forms a neat, bushy mound smothered in rose-pink, trumpet-shaped flowers. Blooming freely from early summer and continuing for months, the flowers open from late afternoon into the evening, releasing a sweet fragrance that draws pollinators as day fades.

Its tidy, well-branched habit makes it especially well suited to patio containers, window boxes and the front of sunny or lightly shaded borders, where it delivers reliable impact without overwhelming neighbouring plants.

Part of the versatile Cuba series, Nicotiana ‘Cuba Rose’ combines long flowering, adaptability and evening scent, making it a strong performer for gardeners looking to maximise interest in smaller spaces.

  • Garden care:
Protect Nicotiana from frost by planting out only after the risk has passed, or by using cloches or horticultural fleece in cooler weather. Choose a sunny or lightly shaded spot with fertile, well-drained soil. Keep the soil or compost moist by watering regularly during dry spells, ensuring the roots don’t dry out.

Feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every fourteen days throughout the growing season to encourage continuous flowering. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong the display.
    • Humans/Pets: Harmful if eaten; avoid skin contact
