Plant Scilla 'Pink Giant' liberally and you'll love the display of soft pink flowers that appear in early spring. Disease-resistant, easy to grow and very low maintenance, these bulbs can be left in the ground for several years, where they will spread to form a generous swathe.
Plant bulbs 8-10cm (3-4in) deep and 8-10cm (3-4in) apart in autumn, in clumps or naturalistic drifts where they can remain undisturbed for several years. Deadhead as the flowers fade to prevent self-seeding, or lift and divide congested clusters in summer when fully dormant.
