Forming a spreading leafy clump, which over a long period in summer, is crowned with a mass of bright pink flowers, this cranesbill lends itself well to a variety of different settings. Tolerant of both modertely wet or dry soils, it makes a fine addition to a naturalised planting scheme - and can even be paired with ornamental grasses.

  • Garden care: In midsummer rejuvenate plants that are beginning to look jaded by removing old flowered stems and leaves. Lift and divide large colonies in spring.
