A stunning hybrid variety with a bushy, upright, habit. ‘Winston Churchill’ flowers throughout the later summer with double, reflexed, pink sepals and bluish-lavender petals, veined with pink. Equally at home in a pot by the beach, or in the air, cascading from a hanging basket, the glossy green foliage and vibrant flowers make it a popular choice for gardeners who want to add a touch of elegance to their outdoor spaces. - Garden care: For the best results, protect from cold, drying winds. To produce bushy, well-branched plants pinch out the growing tips of young plants after the sixth or seventh pair of leaves. During the growing season water regularly, applying a balanced liquid fertiliser each month. Cut back to the permanent framework in early spring. In autumn, it is advisable to mulch the roots with a thick layer of well-rotted compost.
