Pretty pale pink flowers with a bright golden eye appear on Nemesia 'Wisley Vanilla' from May through to September. A short and very compact cultivar that is great for adding colour to the front of a sunny garden border or in pots on the patio. In colder areas some winter protection is needed.
Our bedding range and bedding collections (where available) are offered as seedlings, cuttings, and potted plants.
Pot up seedlings and cuttings and grow them on under glass until the risk of frost has passed. Once conditions are warmer, they can be planted directly into well-prepared beds, or used to fill patio pots, window boxes, and hanging baskets for long-lasting seasonal colour. Larger 9cm bedding plants don’t usually need potting on but will benefit from initial frost protection in spring.
To keep bedding plants looking their best, and where applicable, pinch out the tips to promote bushier growth and water regularly, especially in containers where compost dries out quickly. Feed with a high-potash fertiliser every couple of weeks to encourage continuous flowering. Deadhead faded blooms, as required, to extend the display and keep plants tidy, ensuring vibrant summer flowers from planting time right through to the first frosts.
