With semi-succulent stems bearing ovate, velvety, maroon leaves with prominent, rounded teeth and bright green margins, Coleus ‘Chocolate Mint’ is a wonderful addition to your summer borders, creating drama and contrast. Heuchera ‘Lime Marmalade’ would be a perfect companion for this dazzling foliage plant. Alternatively, grow as a conservatory houseplant. Pale blue, tubular flowers bloom at various times of the year.
Plant out after all risk of frost has passed. Pinch out young shoots regularly to maintain foliage colour and a compact shape. Remove emerging flower spikes to maintain bushy habit. If growing in pots, move indoors in autumn to overwinter.
