An evergreen perennial, with graceful, arching stems of bell-shaped white flowers with neat, dusky pink markings in the throat. This pale coloured form of this popular Angel's fishing rod is perfect for introducing movement to a well-drained border in a sunny, sheltered site, or for overhanging water.

Initially slow to establish, it looks particularly good with early autumn-flowering ornamental grasses. Unfortunately, though, it is not suitable for pots.

  • Garden care:
Consider location carefully to ensure your Dierama has warmth and free-draining soil, avoiding cold, shady or poorly-drained/soggy conditions. For heavy clay or light sandy soil, dig in plenty of well-rotted organic matter before planting.

Water freely during the growing season, but protect against excessive wet winter weather. Remove old foliage in early spring and and once established, divide congested clumps at the same time.
