Forming in large clusters in late spring and early summer, the white flowers of this evergreen rhododendron look a little like stars, and each has a golden blotch on its uppermost petal. A well-established variety, it is sought after for its hardy nature - and glowing flowers, which really shine against the rich green foliage. - Garden care: Avoid planting too deeply. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of leaf mould around the base of the plant each spring.
