Few spring flowers feel as uplifting as a drift of soft pink ranunculus catching the light. Upright stems carry layers of gently ruffled, semi-double blooms in warm rosy tones, each flower around 6-7cm (2-3in) across with a neat, open centre. The bright green, finely cut foliage sits low and tidy beneath the flowers, adding texture without stealing the show.
Ranunculus Rococo Pink grows to around 60cm (2ft) tall and works beautifully in sunny borders, raised beds, and containers, where its long, strong stems also make it excellent for cutting, with a vase life of up to two weeks. Flowering from April through to early summer, it brings colour just when the garden is bursting into life, before resting quietly once the display is over.

Choose a sunny, well-drained spot and plant 9cm pots about 15-20cm (6-8in) apart. Water in well after planting and keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged while they establish. Mulching with compost or bark helps retain moisture and suppress weeds.
Remove spent flowers to encourage more blooms, and feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-3?weeks while the plants are actively growing. Once the foliage dies back naturally, tidy the area by removing dead growth.
