This captivating plant graces the bog or water garden with its vibrant presence throughout the summer. Crafting a dense, bushy mound of foliage, its small, ovate or lanceolate leaves boast a rich, deep green hue.

As late spring unfurls into early summer, Mimulus 'Queens Prize' transforms into a visual spectacle, showcasing an abundance of trumpet-shaped blooms flaunting a luminous yellow palette, accentuated by delightful speckles and distinct darker markings on the throat.


  • Garden care:
    These marginal plants thrive in moist, humus-rich soil and can be grown either as bog plants or shallow aquatics. For boggy borders, we offer a 9cm nursery pot option — plant them in reliably damp ground in full sun to partial shade. Keep the soil consistently moist and protect young shoots from slugs and snails.

    If choosing our aquatic pot option, place them at the pond edge with up to 10cm (4in) of water above the compost. Removing seed heads encourages new flowers to form.
