String of beads is a low-maintenance succulent that thrives in bright, indirect light and can tolerate some direct sun. Use a free-draining cactus or succulent compost and allow the soil to dry out between waterings, taking extra care not to overwater in winter.
Maintain a minimum temperature of 10°C (50°F) in the colder months. Feed with a diluted cactus fertiliser every 4-6 weeks during spring and summer to encourage growth. Trim back straggly stems to keep a neat shape.
