This gorgeous trio of F1 wallflowers will fill your garden with vibrant colour and sweet scent throughout the spring. Supplied as 15 jumbo seedlings.
In each collection you will receive the following:
- 5 x Erysimum 'Sugar Rush Red': Upright clusters of warm red flowers add body and oomph to the planting scheme, while their delicious scent will fill the surrounding air. Often flowering over several months, they'll put on a prolonged (and colourful) display. Supplied as jumbo seedlings. Grows to 30cm.
- 5 x Erysimum 'Sugar Rush Primrose': These scented flowers will often start to bloom in winter, but will really get into their stride in spring. Very tough and easy to grow, they'll provide a long-lasting and colourful display. Try mixing them with blue or purple shades for contrast, or team them with orange and red for a fiery display. Supplied as jumbo seedlings. Grows to 30cm.
- 5 x Erysimum 'Sugar Rush Purple Bicolour': Emerging with an apricot/burgundy flush, the spicily scented flowers turn lilac/purple as they mature. They look wonderful when teamed with spring-flowering bulbs - particularly tulips with rich plum, purple or burnt orange blooms. Supplied as jumbo seedlings. Grows to 30cm.
Our bedding range and bedding collections (where available) are offered as seedlings, cuttings, and potted plants.
Pot up seedlings and cuttings and grow them on under glass until the risk of frost has passed. Once conditions are warmer, they can be planted directly into well-prepared beds, or used to fill patio pots, window boxes, and hanging baskets for long-lasting seasonal colour. Larger 9cm bedding plants don’t usually need potting on but will benefit from initial frost protection in spring.
To keep bedding plants looking their best, and where applicable, pinch out the tips to promote bushier growth and water regularly, especially in containers where compost dries out quickly. Feed with a high-potash fertiliser every couple of weeks to encourage continuous flowering. Deadhead faded blooms, as required, to extend the display and keep plants tidy, ensuring vibrant summer flowers from planting time right through to the first frosts.
